Kafe Lavi's Mission

Reminiscent of the golden age of Haitian coffee, when the island of Hispaniola produced more than half the world’s coffee, Kafe de Lavi brings life to farming communities in the Northwest of Haiti.Grown with care by members of the Cafeiere et Cacouyere du Nord’Ouest cooperative (COCANO), these beans are organically raised and shade grown in the rich soil of the island’s mountains. More than simply Fair-Trade, Kafe de Lavi beans are grown, roasted and packaged by members of the cooperative, thus ensuring that profits stay in the hands of the families of the region.Purchasing this coffee not only provides you with a full-bodied, flavorful cup, but also supports reforestation and the development of a sustainable economy in Haiti’s remote Northwest department… bringing life for the future.
